It is with great excitement that the Crossroads Generation Ministry team welcomes your child(ren) to join us in our times of ministry.  We have developed a devoted team of volunteers who each week lead their classes on a biblical adventure designed for kids just their age. These hands-on, interactive classes will make your child(ren) eager to return and learn more!

We are committed to providing a caring, safe environment in which children are encouraged to participate and learn.  Parents, guardians, and family members are always invited to join their child in class to get a taste of their child’s experience.

Our Mission

Calvary Temple Crossroads Generation Ministry  (CGM) serves the children of our congregation and the community from “in mommy’s tummy” to 5^th grade and their families with a variety of ministries to help meet their spiritual needs.  The mission of the CGM is to provide children with effective discipleship and a strong biblical foundation while focusing on the “CROSS”

Expectant Mothers Ministry

It is our desire to bless and encourage mothers and families awaiting the arrival of their little ones.  See an usher to register to receive notes of encouragement and resources to prepare for the spiritual development of your baby. 

Cuddle Time: Birth to 9 Months

A special room has been designed to minister to caregivers and their babies. This room is equipped with a rocking chair, a baby bed, a changing table and supplies.  Families with children in the Cuddle Time age group will receive resources with tips to guide parents in the spiritual development of their baby.  The Cuddle Team is available to care for little ones during service.  See an usher for details

D.I.G. Zone: 9 to 36 Months

The Developing in God (D.I.G.) Zone is a kid friendly environment with many toys and activities to keep your child involved.  Each week the volunteers lead children in a time of learning about God with stories and songs that encourage active involvement. The DIG Zone is available during both morning services.

Preschool*: 3 to 5 year-olds

During both morning services and Sunday School, the preschool ministry provides engaging stories, crafts, songs (and snacks) that focus on introducing the children to the stories of the bible and seeing God in their lives outside of church.

Elementary*: K through 5^th Grade

Both morning services and Sunday School also provide a time for elementary kids to dig deeper into their faith.  Provided with a firm foundation of biblical truth, children are encouraged to connect their faith with everyday situations at home and at school.  Kids in this age group also learn to use their gifts and talents to serve others.  

* Following praise and worship, children will be dismissed from the sanctuary to join their class.

Staying Informed and Additional Ministries

In addition to weekly ministry opportunities, children have the opportunity to participate in Vacation Bible School, Children’s Prayer Team,  Dramas, Children’s Choir, and even in overnight events at the church.  Information about these events can be found in the weekly bulletin, the monthly newsletter and on the church website calendar.
